Changeup

Hello all, back again. And once again I have another change in plan. As you know if you have read my earlier posts I had been looking for an integrated amp to go with my Rainmakers from Totem Acoustic. Well, I am changing my plans yet again.

I recently had an opportunity to pick up a great power amp, and I had to jump at the chance. So I am now the proud owner of a Belles 150A Hot Rod power amplifier. It really sounds great with the Rainmakers, even while using my old receiver as a pre-amp. And therein lies my new issue. I need to find a preamp.

I have looked at a few that are ok, the NAD C162 which is nice, and the Rotel RC-1070 which is good, but a little sharp for my tastes. I would of course love something from ModWright but they are WAY out of my price range, even used.

I have a few leads to follow up, some of which I hope to share with you soon, but if you have any suggestions I would love to hear them!
